Where are lessons?

Online: The majority of clients prefer for their lessons to take place online. Lessons taken online, via video conferencing platform Zoom, are just as productive, in-depth and adaptable as they are in person - with the added bonus and freedom for your lesson to take place anywhere in the country (or the world!).

In Person: For those more local who would prefer sessions in persons - lessons take place at Hannah’s private studio in Uphill (Weston-Super-Mare), just south of Bristol.

Please note: due to Covid-19, all lessons and consultations are currently only taking place online.

How do I pay?

Lessons are paid via online banking/BACS immediately following the lesson. Lessons are pay as you go and can be booked weekly, fortnightly or on an ad hoc basis.

I am applying for drama school, how can you help me?

I am particularly experienced in this field. I have seen students receive over 850 offers at top vocational schools including GSA, Mountview, Bird, Arts Ed, Laine, Performers, Urdang, Central School of Speech and Drama, The Royal Academy of Music, Royal Welsh, Royal Scottish, RADA, LAMDA, LIPA, Institute of The Arts Barcelona, The New York Film Academy, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and Italia Conti.

Alongside helping you choose, cut and prepare songs that are perfect for the vocal elements of your auditions, I am also on hand to guide you through the entire audition process. This includes advice on monologue selection, when to apply, where to apply, what to wear, personal statements, the interview, how to secure funding and assistance in cutting dance solo music.

Wherever you are applying, I am here to help you - every step of the way.

Do you take beginners?

Absolutely!

I love working with beginners. There is nothing more exciting for me than working with a new singer who wants to find their voice, try something new and gain confidence.

Singing is something everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy, and whatever your level, I am here to help.

I’m so nervous. Will I be ok?

Yes!

I have spent a huge amount of my career working with nervous singers, total beginners and those with stage fright.

My lessons are relaxed but technical, and we will always work at a speed that is best for you.

The pace, tone and goal of each and every lesson is adapted to the student in front of me - everyone is different - and that’s what makes my job so fun!

If you are keen to start lessons but feeling apprehensive do get in touch and we can get started ASAP to get you feeling more relaxed and confident in no time.

I am not a singer, but I use my voice for work or play - can you help me?

Of course.

Whilst many clients choose to come to me for singing based advice, I am also available to help and consult those who use their voices for work or play and are looking to make improvements.

This can include those who feel their voices getting fatigued in their workplace, such as primary school teachers and sports coaches, or those who regularly have to address large groups such as clergy and CEOs. Lessons can even be tailored to suit those preparing a wedding speech, online content or podcasts, who want to get the best out of their instruments, be that for longevity or professionalism.

Do you have a waiting list?

Probably.

Waiting list times fluctuate based on the time of year and demand - get in touch and we will try to sort something out as quickly as possible!

If you have a particularly urgent need including a professional job, self tape or vocational school audition please make this clear in your enquiry and I will always try to accommodate accordingly.

Do you teach children?

Of course!

I work with lots of young singers, including those who enjoy singing just for fun, through to those who want to take their singing a little bit more seriously - whether that is in the form of taking an exam, or working as a young performer.

Children of all levels are welcome. I am very experienced in working with young and adolescent voices, am fully DBS checked and undertake regular child protection training.

I am an adult who has never sung before, have i left it too late?

Not at all!

Get in touch and lets get cracking!

I would prefer/need my lessons to be Via zoom - does this really work?

Yes, yes, yes and yes! If in doubt go check out my “Student Singing” Video Highlights on my Insta stories for a really clear idea of the kind of work done in sessions. The testimonials on my website are all also a result of online sessions.

The Covid-19 pandemic led to us all to work in new and innovative ways and I have now worked with over 200 clients via Zoom, of all ages and abilities, and I can safely say that Zoom sessions are just as effective as those in person!

I teach students from all over the UK, and the world, but even those who live locally continued their lessons online even once the lockdowns had ended as they felt the sessions were just as practical, intensive and fun as they are in person - and it saves on petrol, planning and logistics!

It’s a good idea to place your device in a spot where you know you get strong WiFi, and away from the distraction of others.

Online lessons feel personal, connected and incredibly productive and I urge anyone nervous or sceptical about them to give it a go. You won’t be disappointed!

What is your Cancellation policy?

Due to high demand any lessons cancelled without 48 hours notice will still be charged.
